House Parents:

Sunshine Acres accepts resume for Christ-like, hard-working, fun-loving married couples to serve as house parents for up to 10 neglected and dependent children. This live-in, full-time, year-round position includes housing, utilities, food, salary and benefits. We seek couples with a heart for God and his children and willingness to serve. Key characteristics are integrity, compassion, nurture, consistency, dependability, teachable and flexibility.

Warehouse Driver:

Responsibilities include driving from one location to another to clean out clothing donation bins and cleaning up furniture around clothing donation bins. 39 hours a week with full benefits. Must have a clean driving record and no felonies.

Demi Chef

Dining facility currently seeking a Demi Chef. This position is full-time (40 hours) and is available immediately. Please email resume to smarkwell@sunshineacres.org

The Demi Chef is responsible for preparing meals in the kitchen and ensures that food is on the line ready to serve by the designated time. This will require strong organizational and time management skills. A degree of leading other kitchen staff and volunteers may be involved. This team member will also observe and fulfill all food safety requirements, monitor kitchen operations and resolve any issues that arise in the kitchen while they are the on duty chef. Additional duties that may be required but are not limited to wash and store pots, pans, and utensils necessary to prepare the meals. General cleaning responsibilities are also included in this position. This team member will secure and shut down the kitchen and dining room when appropriate and as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.

Strong kitchen skills are a must. The ideal candidate has knowledge of food prep and cooking, has a willingness to learn and is a team player.

Position is daytime hours. May include weekends and occasional evenings for special events.

A stage may be required as part of the interview process.

Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a LEVEL 1 DPS clearance.

Must work well with others, including volunteers, children & support staff.
